Close Protection Operatives

in the Private Security Industry 

Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry, has been developed and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The RQF is a Qualification Framework regulated by Ofqual. The qualification is also regulated by Qualifications Wales. This qualification is supported by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), which regulates the Private Security Industry.

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. It is designed for learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Close Protection Operative. Due to licence integration, upon completion, learners can also work as Door Supervisors.

 

To register for this qualification, learners must be aged 18 and over

 

Learners must hold a valid Level 3 (RQF/QCF) (Level 6 (SCQF)) 3-day full first-aid qualification before they begin any close protection training. Learners should present their first-aid certificate to Our training provider before training. This certificate must be valid for at least 12 months from the course start date. If you require this qualification, we can also offer you this – please let us know when booking your course. 

 

Please note that the course will be delivered over 20 days when adding on First Aid at Work. The SIA Level 3 Course is an essential qualification for anyone looking to pursue a career in the security industry. This course covers a broad range of topics, including legal responsibilities, operational procedures, and emergency response techniques. With a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application, participants will leave with a clear understanding of what it takes to be a professional close protection officer. Completing this course is crucial for gaining the SIA licence, which is a requirement for working in the UK security sector. The SIA Level 3 Course is a crucial step for anyone serious about a career in the security industry. The course will take place over 19 days, with some self-study before the course begins. The course is delivered through a fully blended learning approach, utilising our different training channels, including face-to-face (in the classroom), Virtual online delivery (Zoom), and self-study/online learning.

This qualification is supported by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), which regulates the private security industry.

 

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. It is designed for learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to apply for the relevant SIA Door Supervisors licence, which will allow you to work in the following areas (plus many more);

To register for this qualification, learners must be aged 18 and over.
